Travis Wakefield MSPT, ATC
Travis Wakefield, MSPT, ATC, received his Bachelor's of Science from Weber State University and his Master's of Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado. He is a Certified Athletic Trainer and enjoys working with athletes of all ages and providing coverage to both Virgin and Moapa Valley High Schools. Travis takes a hands on approach with his patients using manual therapy techniques to relieve pain and therapeutic exercises to re-educate muscles to optimize performance and function. The eight years I have been practicing in Mesquite have been the most rewarding of my life. "I have been fortunate to be able to practice in such a wonderful community, and to be surrounded by excellent physical therapists that have helped us be successful and progress our practice to the high standard of care it provides today." Travis enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and softball.
Scott Olsen MPT
Scott Olsen, MPT, received his Bachelor's Degree from Southern Utah University and Master's of Physical Therapy Degree from Andrew's University. In the Orthopedic Setting, Scott can be found treating pediatric to vestibular conditions, and from balance conditioning to stroke retraining. Scott takes a complete treatment approach with each and every patient. His skills focus on pain relieving modalities, returning the patient to normal function, and ensuring independence in home exercise programs. Scott is fluent in the Spanish language and enjoys the benefits and friendships this brings, widening his therapy influence. Scott enjoys riding to work on two wheels and weekly softball games while he and his wife await the arrival their new baby.
Robert Grow MPT
Rob Grow, MPT, received his Bachelor's Degree from Southern Utah University and Master's of Physical Therapy Degree from Western University of Health Sciences. He uses appropriately prescribed exercise, home exercise program instruction and pain relieving modalities to insure the best possible rehabilitation outcomes. His area of specialization include cardiopulmonary, neurological deficit, orthopedic and geriatric rehabilitation. With his hands on approach and skills in physical therapy, Rob has differentiated himself from other therapists in the field. He is also fluent in Spanish which is an asset in providing the best care for Spanish speaking patients. Rob enjoys a wide variety of activities in his spare time including fishing, boating, golf, softball and basketball. He and his wife have three children.
Stephanie Montoya PTA
Stephanie Montoya, PTA, received her Associate of Applied Science Degree and Physical Therapist Assistant Certification through the Community College of Southern Nevada. Stephanie enjoys working in a variety of settings including the outpatient clinic, hospital and home health care. She is specialized in the treatment of women's health issues including urinary incontinence, pain during pregnancy and pelvic pain. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys playing softball, going to Lake Mead, scrapbooking and spending time with her family.
Kyle Memott MPT
Kyle Memmott received his Bachelor of Science degree with emphasis in sports medicine from Southern Utah University and Master's of Physical Therapy degree from California State University, Long Beach. Kyle has practiced in a variety of different Physical Therapy settings including: acute, sub-acute, home health, aquatics, and outpatient orthopedics. Kyle places strong emphasis on prescribing appropriate exercises, along with manual therapy to increase patient's functional performance and outcomes. Kyle specializes in aquatic and outpatient settings. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, camping and biking.
Deena Alfonsetti, PTA
Deena received her Associate's Degree at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, New York. She is licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the states of Nevada, Arizona and New York. Her clinical experience consists of brain injury, spinal cord/neuro rehabilitation, orthopedic, oncology, acute care inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation, geriatric and pediatric rehabilitation. She specializes in rehab of stroke patients, Parkinson, balance and strength issues.
Deena's passionate about the care of patients and their education of their condition. Her goal is to keep current with the latest treatments to expedite her patient's recovery and allow them to return to a greater quality of life.
Deena moved to Mesquite from Syracuse, New York in 2006 with her husband and dog Mandy. She enjoys cruises, visiting island paradises, snorkeling, hiking, art, music and photography. Her dream is to travel to Argentina and to cruise by ship to Greece and Italy in the future.
Jerid Matheson MS,OTR/L
Jerid Matheson, MS, OTR/L received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Utah and a Master's of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. Jerid's emphasis during his fieldwork in school was in hand therapy. He enjoys treating patients with upper extremity and hand injuries and patients who have had upper extremity or hand surgery. As an Occupational Therapist he is also skilled at helping people develop greater independence with their self care following injuries/surgeries. Jerid enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also finds time to play sports, hunt and fish.
